我们的愿景是遵循 Material Design 的设计准则，来提供一个精致的 React 实现方案，并且能够能按照您的需求量身定制，将您的品牌特色表现得淋漓尽致。

Material UI 起航于 Material Design 指导下的设计原则，但一款软件往往有着各式各样、方方面面的诉求，而这些原则就可能不会为我们的所有问题给出答案。 In addition to the guidelines-specific implementation, we want MUI to become whatever is generally useful for application development, all in the spirit of the Material Design guidelines.

正因此，Material UI 绝不只是应用、实现 Material Design 所列述的原则，它更像一个面对广大用户提出的设计问题，提供优良设计组件甚或设计方案的 UI 库。 这个一般化的做法并没有遵循任何已有的设计原则。 此处我们还有想要表达的另一层意思，那就是 Material UI 的一些组件或组合可能提供了一些 Material Design 还未能给出的设计思路。

We will focus on providing all the low-level tools needed to build a rich user-interface with React. 作为开发者，我们眼中 Material UI 的未来应该是：

• 能够根据产品主题被定制或者个性化。
• 兼容多个主流浏览器并可及。
• 致力于帮助开发者找寻到开发的乐趣，在 Material-Ui 这个社区里，让大家感到各个等级、水平的开发者能够随心交流，相互学习。
